"MEChA El Frente's Gala Latina" - The Golden Anniversary (Our club's 50th anniversary)

Location and Time:
Locatelli Activity Center, Santa Clara University, 6:00pm-9:30pm

Purpose of Fundraiser:
Gala Latina seeks to raise funds for MEChA El Frente, the Latinx Student Union at Santa Clara University. The funds raised allow them to put on various events and programs to fulfill their mission of empowering the students and the communities around us. Additionally, part of the proceeds funds two annual scholarships given to Latinx first-year students and transfers.

Agenda for the event: (all ages welcome)
5:30pm - Doors open
6:00pm - dinner / introduction to event
6:20pm - Folklorico dance performance by a local group from San Jose
6:50 - various student speakers/activity
7:30 - VibraSON Latin Band performs (2 sets)

Throughout the event, there will also be a photo booth, silent auction, raffle, and display of historic MEChA El Frente items.

Food/drink selections available: Non-vegetarian option: Rosmeary- Herb garlic chicken, oven roasted rosemary red potatoes, and fresh cilantro-lime rice; Vegetarian option: Lemon scented linguine with seasonal vegetables in garlic wine sauce. Drinks - Lemonade and water.

Although we are targeting SCU faculty, alumni, and families, ALL are welcome to this event in support of the Latinx community at Santa Clara University.
